Cait’s Story

Cait was vibrant, creative, outgoing, and full of life. She loved learning, baking, creating art, listening to music, and spending time with the friends and family who meant so much to her. Whether she was expressing herself through something she made, laughing with the people she loved, or enjoying an ordinary day, Cait brought a warmth and energy that made those moments feel special.

As a student at West Torrance High School and a member of the Class of 2026, Cait genuinely valued her education and the community she found at school. She loved being connected to her classmates and treasured the time she spent with friends, from everyday conversations to memorable nights together at football games. Those friendships and experiences brought her happiness and helped shape the joyful, thoughtful person she was.

In 2019, Cait was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma and began a journey no young person should have to face. Yet even throughout treatment, she continued making space for the people, activities, and experiences that brought her joy. Cait faced incredibly difficult circumstances with courage and grace, never allowing her diagnosis to become the only thing that defined her.

At the center of Cait’s life was a spirit of gratitude. She believed that there was always something to be thankful for, even in the hardest seasons. That perspective was not simply something she said. It was reflected in the way she lived, loved, created, and remained connected to the world around her. Cait’s strength, creativity, and appreciation for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, and her family continues to carry those qualities with them every day.
